Hallo!

Kann mir jemand helfen, ich habe development-sources als Kernel (2.6.3)

funktioniert ja alles auf anhieb bis auf mein CD-Rom laufwerk.

Wenn ich eine CD mounten will kommt immer: mount:special device /dev/cdrom/cdrom0
does not exist

Habe Grub als Bootloader.

Aber hat das was da mit zu tun?In 2.4er Kernel gings ja auch.

ja genau damit hat's zu thun du findest genug trehds in diesem forum das das behandelt, under anderem kann man mit kernel 2.6 ja cd brennen ohne ide-scsi unterstützung.

Vielleicht hast du keine Unterstützung für dein Cdrom im Kernel aktiviert?

Ja in Kernel is die Unterstützung aktiviert.

Hab noch mal nachgeschaut.

Hi Novaja,

Hast Du die CDROM-Unterstützung auch wirklich _fest_ einkompiliert? Ansonsten musst Du noch das Modul laden. AFAIK heisst dieses bei einem Atapi-CD-Laufwerk ide-cd. Kannst ja, wenn Du es fest drin hast, mal in der Ausgabe von dmesg suchen, ob da irgendwas vom CD-Rom steht.

also da steht folgendes drin: hdc:ATAPI 48X DVD-ROM drive
Uniform CD-ROM driver REVISION: 3.20

OK, und was passiert denn, wenn Du /dev/hdc als Device verwendest, und anhand diesem versuchst, zu mounten?

Kommt genau der selbe fehler.

Hier mal meine fstab falls das irgendwie weiter hilft.

nehmt doch einfach in der grub conf "hdc=ide-scsi" oder im kernel atap-cdrom raus eins von beidem.
