Hi there,
Two questions for you today:
1: I have a keyboard with multimedia keys on them, so I installed the funkey patch from R van Rijn. and modified the funky.c deamon, but I was wondering: clearly I am on the only linux user with a keyboard with those nice little keys. What are you using? Are there alternatives, since, if not, then it would be about time to make a nice little package from the patch and a better deamon, so that everybody can use this stuff!
2: How do I use antialiased fonts under X, I tried xfs but once configured no antialiased fonts . I use Gnome 1.4 must I wait for Gnome 2? Does anybody have any thoughts on this subject? I do not seem to be able to figure out how fonts really work under linux/X .
catch ya'll later! Greetz Ozy

Umm, actually, I have used hotkeys for this back when I was using slackware. I had it working with xosd so there was onscreen display action happening, want me to slap some ebuilds together for these and give them a go? |

Gnome 2 is rather stable, I use it frequently for a desktop. There is a frontend tool for Gnome 1.4 called gdkxft (http://gdkxft.sf.net/) out there that enables you to use Xrender for your gtk 1.2.x applications. |
