|
|
I emerged snort and for some reason I can't start it either manually or using
/etc/init.d/snort start. When I do the latter, I get [ok] from start-stop-daemon but there is no snort process after that.
I tried emerging it on another box and it works, both using the startup script and when I start it manually, but I really have to run snort on the machine where it's not working.
I don't get any errors when I try to start it manually, it just silently exits.
if I do snort -v it works, it seems it just doesn't want to run in daemon mode.
Did anybody have similar problems with snort? |
