I have searched for this but unable to find a solution. I am running a X86 machine with a sun 36-1352 monitor attached. This is a 24-inch widescreen monitor with 2 outputs. I am using the hd15 post on the back which is setting 2. according to the website it says the resoultion is follows:
Code: |
Pixel Horizontal Vertical Pixel
Resolution Frequency Frequeny Frequency
1280 × 800 64.4 kHz 76.2 Hz 101.2 MHz
Now I can get the system to produce a x-screen but it is oversized. So I beleive that the frequencies are not set correctly. I have tried to set them manually but that just crashed. Now X will start and display but it appears zoomed in and say only middle half of the screen is displayed. When I move the mouse it will move the screen up and over so that I can get to the corners. Has anyone had this problem? any ideas? _________________ The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable man persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. the zoomed in effect seems to happen when your first resolution in your XF86Config is unable to be used but another one in the list is. Your desktop is set to the first size, but your screen uses a lower one. Try remove the first item in the list. |
