ho ricompilato il kernel 2.6.5 il sistema si riavvia ma ci sono delgi errorini....
alora la scheda di rete non funzia.....se dò ifconfig mi rivela solo l'interfaccia lo....
e poi la risoluzione in console è 800x600 e non 1024 cosa ho dimenticato di attivare nel kernel????

Hai fatto make modules_install? Per la risoluzione hai messo il supporto per il frame buffer?

io ho questi moduli caricati nel kernel 2.4.26.....(non fare caso ad ac e battery) il modulo della scheda di rete dovrebbe essere sis900 e l'ho messa built in adesso provo a dare un occhiata e ricompilo anche per vedere di abilitare il framebuffer..... | Code: | lsmod

Sei sicuro che il tuo chipset usi usb-ohci e non usb-uhci? Prova a montare usb-uhci.

ma cosa potrebbe centrare con il mio problema????questi sono i moduli caricati nel kernel 2.4.26
era per vederre se avevo messo bene il modulo sis900 built-in (per la scheda di rete)
quando avvio con il nuovo kernel la riga di avvio errata è quando fa il netmount....è li che restituisce errore....e presumo sia per il fatto che non trovi la scheda di rete.....

Scusa mi sono confuso post  ... pensavo fosse quello relativo al mouse usb che non funzionava.
Vabbe passando al tuo problema posta anche un lspci (se non l'hai emerge pciutils)

Riguardo al fatto che non ti venga riconosciuta la scheda di rete, potrebbe anche dipendere dal fatto che tu hai attivato il supporto ethernet per la Firewire (ieee1394)
A me è capitato sul portatile. |

grazie del consiglio...per quanto riguarda l'interfaccia firewire ho compilato tutto come moduli....non credo diano fastidio sotto questo punto di vista....anche quando ho avviato la prima volta con il 2.4.26 tentava di collegarmi alla rete attraverso la firewire che vedeva come eth0 e invece la scheda di rete era su eth1....mi è bastata una modifica la file di configurazione della rete per sistemare il tutto ....adesso provo a disattivare del tutto l'interfaccia ieee1394 e ricompilo...in questo modo sappiamo se è quello che fa conflitto

allora disattivando l'interfaccia fireware...il messaggio di errore cambia e dice che non riesce a tirare su eth1....ma siccome ho disattivato la porta fireware ho pensato che ora l'interfaccia di rete dovrebbe essere eth0...ed infatti così è...mi è bastato un dhcpd eth0 per attivarla....ma ora mi sorge un dubbio....non è che prima ( con il kernel 2.6.5 ma con fireware attivato) vedeva la scheda ethernet come eth0 e la fireware come eth1 ed in questo modo non riusciva a trovare la rete in quanto lo script di avvio della rete è impostato per attivare la eth1?????
resta ancora il problema del framevuffer...ho attivato qualcosa nel kernel ma non funziona lo stesso....non so che fare..
poi ho un po di curiosità: per quale motivo il puntatore del mouse è più veloce che nel kernel 2.4.26?????
