I swiched from Kernel 2.4 to 2.6 an I have strange problem. Whenever I try to modprobe something it modprobe points into mine kernel's old direction(/lib/modules/2.4.20-gentoo-r6/). So how can I fix this problem |

Have you emerged module-init-tools? |

The only thing you should have to change in your grub.conf is the line that points to your kernel. Just make it point to the new kernel (I hope you had /boot mounted when you copied it). And you will need module-init-tools if you're running a 2.6 kernel. Otherwise you won't be able to load modules. |

So this means, your kernel 2.6 is starting?
Does /usr/src/linux point to the new kernel? |
