Looks like you haven't set the permissions correctly for your CDrom
Perhaps try running ./setup as root and use :
./setup -net
install it somewhere in de /usr/local/ path and after installing, as another user go to the install dir and srun setup from there to install it for tah user. In this way every user can user your staroffice installation. Every user has to run the setup script from the staroffice install dir an it will be set up for that user.
Good luck and don's hesitate to ask if you lost track. _________________ *****************************

Hi,
also running as root I get the same error message.
/mnt/cdrom is owned by me and my group.
In /etc/fstab the cdroms are set to user!
Any other ideas?

Yes, of course it's mounted read-only.
Have you ever mounted a CD for writing??

Hello,
do you have the "exec" option for this device in your /etc/fstab? If not, you can't execute anything from CD. |
