These days,I am installing ltsp4.0.Everything is right but xdm,I have no idea,please everyone help me.I am sure my DHCP,TFTP and NFS is work fine.
The following is what I do:
1,this is my /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/lts.conf

2 In /etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config comment out "DisplayManager.requestPort:0"
3 creat XF86Config.mulj2 in /tftpboot/lts/ltsroot/etc
4 uncomment

5 /etc/init.d/xdm start
Now I start a clint with name mulj2 by DHCP,but the xdm login window don't appeared,I do not know why. Anybody can help me. |

an other questions,when I add "XF86CONFIG_FILE = XF86config.mulj2" in the section [mulj2]
of my lts.conf and then creat a file named XF86config.mulj2 in /tftpboot/lts/ltsroot/etc.There is a new error.When the clint run "rc.sysinit completed, switching to multi-session mode" ,the screen stop ,no error message.That's why?please help me .thanks a lot. |

now I have the answer to this problem.now I successed login with GDM.
I have two mistakes:
1 I did not run "/etc/init.d/xdm" because I want use GDM,but the XDM is not start then the xdmcp is not start yet.
2 in my lts.conf "X_MOUSE_DEVICE = "/dev/input/mice" is wrong,the crrect is "/dev/mice/psaux" .
that is all.
now I want use my own XF86Config file,I creat XF86Config.mulj2 in /tftpboot/lts/ltsroot/etc
because the lts.conf.readme tell me.But I found the ltsp did not use XF86Config.mulj2,it used
/tmp/XF86Config.1,that's why?anyone can help me? |
