|
|
I'm trying to run chroot from my working gentoo environment (not on install) and I always get the following error:
Code: |
chroot: /bin/bash: No such file or directory
|
I get this when trying to chroot anywhere. /bin/bash exists:
Code: |
# ls -l /bin/bash
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 784488 Apr 14 04:58 /bin/bash
|
Thanks for any help.[/code]
EDIT: Solved. See bottom post.

Did you remeber to mount the partition? I forgot that one once, and got the same error. |

This is not on install. I have a working Gentoo installation. |

Solved. /bin/bash and its deps must exist within the new root, not just in your current tree. |
