Is there a certain reason why I can not start any poll ???

Maybe I have oveseen something, but I simply can not start a poll, as I don't know how to do it.

I have read somewhere that a POLL button should show up when post a new threat, but I can't see such a button.

It is said, that this button only shows up, if I have the permission to start a poll, but why should I not have the permission for such a thing?

I am already at over 100 posts since I joined this forum, and I have seen guys starting polls with lot less posts, so it can not have anything to do with the number of posts.

So what am I doing wrong?

It's not an extra button, but an extra section at the bottom of the "New topic" page.
However, only some forums allow polls, such as Off the Wall for example.

There has to be something wrong with my account, I just took a look, entered "Off the Wall", clicked "New Topic" and there is no *poll* button or section on my "New Topic" page.

I checked your account. Everythings fine with your account.

At the bottom of the "New topic" page there is a "Add a Poll" section where you can fill in a "Poll question". You can add "Poll options" as needed by clicking on "Add option".

Now I'm confused. I just checked again, and suddenly I can see the poll-section on the "New Topic" page...

The only thing that I changed was to allow pop-ups in my Firebird, but this can't have anything to do with the poll-option...

Sometimes really weird things are going on, especially if you didn't change anything on my account.

At least it's working now.

Polls are restricted to certain forums, iirc mainly the discussion forums and not the support forums. The main reason is to prevent people from posting completely useless polls when asking support questions (this seems to have happened often before it was restricted). If you are able to post polls in OTW and other discussion forums, everything should be fine with your account.

It seems to be working now, but I am 100% sure that I took a look at it first in the OTW forum, as someone already mentioned before that it is only enabled in certain forums...
