Hallo zusammen.
Da ich nach einem Boardwechsel unter einem 2.4-er Kernel unerklärliche Freezes habe, wollte ich einfach auf den 2.6 Kernel umsteigen.
Leider funktioniert jetzt die graphische Oebrfläche und der Sound nicht mehr.
Nach dem Erstellen des neues Kernels mit genkernel hab ich 'nvidia-kernel' neu emerged.
Dannach modprobe nvidia:

Naja, im deutschen Forum scheints dazu noch nichts zu geben, also gebe ich mal ein wenig Halbwissen von mir.
Kernel >= 2.6.6 werden von nvidia-kernel-1.0.5336-r3 unterstützt. Ist zwar noch maskiert, aber funktioniert soweit ganz gut.
Kernel mit aktivierten 4k Stacks unterstützt der Nvidia-Treiber leider generell noch nicht und soweit ich weiß sind diese bei den mm-patches obligatorisch, zumindest aber default.
Somit schließen sich 4k-Stack Kernel und Nvidia aus, also mußt du entweder auf das eine oder das andere verzichten. Mit 2.6.6 Vanilla gibts bei mir jedenfalls keine Probleme, wie gesagt mit nvidia-kernel-1.0.5336-r3. |

Danke, hab einfach den neusetn nvidia-kernel+nvidia-glx installiert. Dann noch im Kernel diese 8/4kb Zeugs aktiviert.
