Ciao
ho una scheda madre asus A7V600 cn scheda audio integrata con chipset Viat8xx
ho installato un kernel 2.6.5 e l'audio non funziona....
ora la parte dei moduli audio del kernel è giusta però quando parte linux mi da questo errore:
error copying: "/lib/dev-state/sound/dsp" to "/dev/sound/dsp"
la cosa che mi fa più rabbia è che con il 2.4 funzionava tutto senza problemi....
nessuna idea?

Prova a metterli come moduli, non e' la prima volta che sento che con alsa built-in ci sono problemi.

addirittura mi dice xmms che probabilmente la mia soundcard è occupata da un'altra applicazione...

hai aggiunto alsasound al runlevel boot? (e` in alsa-utils): in tal caso, se hai configurato correttamente /etc/conf.d/alsasound ci pensa il servizio a caricare tutti i moduli, e con alsamixer puoi impostare i volumi.

Anche a me xmms dice la stessa roba, però se faccio partire un mp3 com mplayer dopo si "sblocca" e funziona nuovamente...  |
