It would lock up whenever I visited a site with used the flash, shockwave plugin set, Konqueror worked fine, as did RC1. |

rc2 is working great for me.
You could try temporarily moving your preferences folder ($HOME/.mozilla) run mozilla with clean preferences and see if that fixes things, then at least you'd know if it was your preferences. |

I installed RC2 and now I can't open new browser windows. I can open new tabs and navigate with them just fine, so it's not a total loss. But I'm one for clutter, and prefer windows most of the time.
Anyone have any similar experiences? |

I had the same on one of my computers - on the other it works just fine though.
You could try to rename your .mozilla directory, if that solves the problem it might have to do with some stupid profile management thing.
If that doesn't solve it, I have no idea.
For the time being I just reverted to RC1 which works great as well. |

I had the same problem. Just delete the hidden .mozilla dir in your home dir and be sure that you are getting the pinball theme for rc2.
After I did this pinball worked fine.

There is a setup at preferences/Advanced/Script & Windows thats block a new window, look at if this is your case. |
