Ciao a tutti, oggi mi sa che è la giornata dei miei post problematici, ho installato la mia gentoo però quando scrivo halt nella console o eseguo un arresto da kde questo mi dà il bruttissimo "Power off".

Ho già provato a ricompilare il kernel disabilitando l'ACPI e settando l'APM, ma il pc diventa instabile.
Qualcuno ha qualche soluzione?

Il mio problema è che non so dove settare acpi=force, ho guardato il kernel e non ho trovato questa funzione.
Uso il gentoo-dev-sources 2.6.5-r1.

Devi impostarlo nel file di configurazione del tuo bootloader. Ad esempio se hai grub devi impostarlo così

si, senza il molto probabilmente
più o meno dove sono specificate la root directory e le opzioni per video
(dipende dal boot manager... cosa usi lilo o grub?)

Perfetto, grazie a tutti, funziona alla perfezione.
Grazie mille anche per il consiglio dell'entry "testing", infatti dopo alcuni disagi, ora lascio sempre una conf. di test per le prove in grub. |
