|
|
Hi ALL!
I have a problem...
After upgrade to Gnome 2.6, during loggin' in or when I change a theme I receive the messagge:
"Failed to load image default-applications-capplet.png
Details: file not found"
What about that image file? How can I stop the notice?
The system seems working well, apart a curious behaviour: if I access to my home from the link on desktop the window contains only files and directorys, without side panel, statusbar and location bar. No problem if I use "Browse Filesystem" in the Application menu.
Thank you very much for any help you can give me!
Gentoo is GREAT!

I have emerge some themes and add some links into the panel using gentoo icons.
The same error message appears when I try to change to another theme.
No problem logging in as root.
Have you some idea?
Thank You very much! |

Thank you very much!
I report the output of the command you suggest:
>grep -r default-applications-capplet ~/.g*.
/home/filippo/.gconf/apps/panel/profiles/default/objects/object_7/%gconf.xml:<st ringvalue>default-applications-capplet.png</stringvalue>
grep: /home/filippo/.gxine/socket: No such device or address |

Well, it should be fairly obvious which panel icon is at fault as it will display an ugly foot icon.
However if you can't spot it then gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/panel/profiles/default/objects/object_7 may work as well. _________________ No more cruft

Thank you for your help!
I try to do as suggest, using gconftool-2 but nothing is changed.
Removing all the .gnome files do you think I can resolve the problem?
Thank you very much! |
