Yesterday I wanted to install gentoo. I printed the handbook and made a new partitiontable. At first my NIC didn't run but I did load the right module. After some trying I found out, that it runs by using smp. I was really happy then I wanted to do a stage2 install. But emerge sync and emerge-webrsync didn't work. Emerge sync "told" me that there isn't free space on my partition. I was wondering... because the partition had a size of 20gb and the only thing on it was gentoo. I was trying to copy a file and cp gave me the same errormessage. I booted my Knoppixcd and had a look at my partitions - everything was right.
I don't know what went wrong... I hope someone can help me. |

Yep, I did that. I unpacked the tarball of stage2 on that partition, too. |
