how come my keyboard doesn't work anymore? maybe i made a mess? or maybe mm starts to be faulty again like in the old times?

mm looks to be as a trade off between stability and performance.... has been running sweet for the last 4 months, upgrade after updgrade, but this looks like a joke.... hemm.... am i on candid camera?

sure i did.... i whished i had a usb keyboard...

imagine a FAST system. strange things happened like:
- the cursor for the input text blinks fast as hell
- the "beep" i hear when gdm pops up lasts half the time as usual.....

could be some kind of timer problem?

If you are using the latest mm, 2.6.7-mm1 (you don't actually say which one you are using), then yes it is a timer problem, there are a couple of patches floating around somewhere but you may be better waiting until mm2 as there is more than just the timing problem with this release.
