HiDiHo,
habe gestern mal ein wenig an meien Einstellungen für xorg und den mitgelieferten Radeon Treiber gespielt. Leider kann ich die ati Treiber nicht nutzen da ich ein 64 bit System betreibe und ATI noch keine Treiber bereitstellt.

leider kommt mir das ganze noch immer ziemlich langsam vor... sieht jemand auf anhieb noch Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten an der Konfiguration oder hat noch ein paar Vorschläge zur Performancesteigerung....

Nun, was erwartest Du.

Die einzige Möglichkeit ist das Nutzen der Kernel DRI Treiber, sonst nix.
Und die sind bei weitem nicht so ausgereift, das man damit ernsthaft 3D Nutzen kann.

mhh habe ich doch geschrieben... ich dachte evtl. hat noch jemand ein paar Tip's zur Performancesteigerung... :lol: und evtl wie die Fehlermeldung zu verstehen bzw zu beheben ist...

DRI im Kernel ist wie du schon geschrieben hast nicht wirklich eine Möglichkeit! Aber trozdem schon einmal danke für die Antwort :)

Ich würde den radeon Treiber nehmen statt ati da gibt es dann auch die möglichkeit zum suspend-to-ram mit einem patch:
