I just
got my Crossover Office Trial ( yes, that shall be fixed soon) and like told everybody like in their faces I would now go ahead and work only with Linux.
And
IT WORKED. Photoshop installed absolutely properly.
5 Minutes later my windows partition did not exist anymore

Congrats, dude. Just curious, though: can't you use PhotoShop through normal wine? i.e, the Free one?

Depends on the version. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. |

Can't you use mplayerplug-in for quicktime mov streaming? |
suppose you like to do everything the hard way 
either way mplayer doesn't always work correctly with quicktime streams
and you don't have a progress meter for quicktime movies played within the browser
it can be accomplised by adding the option minigui or something like that
in the plugin preferences file
but then when i go into mplayer the mini gui is being used
so to me thats more hassle then its worth
hence the convenience of using quicktime with crossover
which works exactly the same as the windows version
don't use it for anything other then web browsing
and i prefer it that way
however if you like mplayer then use it coz this my choice
ps i don't want to install mplayer because i have xine + kaffiene and adding another player that does the same doesn't really make sense to me |
