Hi all,

I have ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" defined in my make.conf but emerge still tells me packages are masked:

Code:

# emerge --pretend gnome-base/gnome/gnome-2.1.2.ebuild

These are the packages that I would merge, in order.

Calculating dependencies \

emerge: all ebuilds that could satisfy "=gnome-base/libgnomeprintui-2.1*" (from ebuild / gnome-base/gnome-2.1.2 merge) have been masked.

What do I have to do to get around this? I thought ACCEPT_KEYWORDS would do it.

Mark

Hi gojuka,

some packages, normally only those which aren't supposed to work, are still masked in the /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask
Just search for the line with the package you want to install and comment it out!

Keep in mind that packages masked in /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask are usually masked for "big" reasons.
