I'm having a little trouble here... I used dvdrip with xvid4 to encode a dvd and ended up with a vertically flipped encode.
So I just wanna flip it again but without any reencoding. Any way to do it with mencoder or transcode? |

Nevermind... it seems it can't be done without reencoding. |

It is in theory possible to losslessly flip the video but it would seem none of the common tools have this feature.
But, if you just want to play the video, you could tell the video player to flip the video using a filter. |

I know that. I even tried
Code: | mplayer -flip -dumpstream -dumpfile blah.avi encode.avi |
and it obviously doesn't work. So I'm now reencoding with 'transcode -z', but for some reason the encodes come out with a worse quality. Time to play around with the filters I guess |

Yes, I didn't mean for you to try and reencode it, I meant just for playback. But of course unless you're just planning on using it yourself, that's useless. |
