|
|
I installed WarCraft 3 with cedega and ran with cedega, after the first loading screen (still @ the desktop) the load screen stay on the desktop for a minute or so and then dissapears without starting the game at all. Same thin with 3.3 and 3.2.1 and 3.2
I also tried using Point2Play. Same thing.
m using
Linux 2.6.7-gentoo-r8 #2 SMP i686 AMD Athlon(TM) MP 2300+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux
And before the cedega release WarCraft 3 worked fine (exept for the multiplayer which kept on freezing up)
Help? |

if (your_level > 16) {
echo Cant help you sorry
}
else{
* check the shortcut :
better to run cedega war3.exe than cedega Frothen Throne.exe
* Do you use the original cd or a nocd binary ?
(i had problems with cd detection ... so i dl no cd, and it's fine now and starts instantly)
* try cedega war3.exe -opengl
* try winex3 war3.exe -opengl (if you still have older version installed)
* can you lanch opengl games like quake3 ?

It is a problem with kernel-2.6.7 and Warcraft III, I was getting this problem and solved it by using 2.6.7-rc3-love2 instead of 2.6.7-love7 (I also had the problem with 2.6.7-love5), I havent tried it with any of the 2.6.8 release candidates though. |
