|
|
I decided to try out the love-sources for the first time. There are some ner options I'm not familiar with. One of them being an option I'm supposed to pass to the kernel from grub. The problem is I have no knowledge of this option.
After grub, I get this notice which tell me to hit the space bar to scan or enter to view the different modes. There are 11 modes, 0-9 and "a"...
Code: | You have passed an undefined mode |
Mode IDs 7 and above are not valid (for me) even though it gives me the option. ID 6 produces the most readable boot but it's resolution is crap.
In graphic support, I have a new option that I am not familiar with
Code: | (640x480@60) VESA default mode |
Is this what I'm to configure? I've tried using 1024x768@60 but that produces a screen of funk (it does fully boot however).
Thanks
[edit]
For those of you interested, this is what I passed on to my kernel from grub: video=vesafb:ywrap,vram:16,1024x768-16@60
If you have vga=xxx, remove that. |

I have the same problem, but I use lilo.
Bootsplash worked fine with 2.6.6-love4, but now it seems to fail (2.6.8-rc2-love3). I use vga=794 for a 1280x1024 framebuffer.
Any clues? |
