Ho installato ieri Rhythmbox per provarlo (io al momento usavo beep-media-player) solo che quando metto in play una canzone non sento nulla (pur andando avanti l'indicatore del tempo nel programma, come se tutto andasse bene). E' un problema solo di rhythmbox, cmq, perchè xmms e beep-media-player mi funzionano ancora benissimo.
Grazie per qualunque aiuto possiate darmi...

Hai settato la configurazione di gstreamer? Probabilmente devi mettere alsa invece di oss.
Lo trovi nel menu di gnome, Desktop Preferences -> Advanced -> Multimedia System Selector
oppure lancia

Grazie mille, così si è risolto tutto (anche se ho dovuto emergiare gconf-editor perchè non uso gnome...)  |

per altra gente che non utilizza gnome:
| Code: | gconftool-2 -s /system/gstreamer/0.8/default/audiosink -t string
"alsasink device=hw:0" |
(hw:0 puo essere sostituito con defualt per chi usa dmixing)
