|
|
At my school I use a laptop, and its extremly annoying having to boot to windows everytime I want to print something.
My school has a windows nt domain that they use for giving out permissions to accessing network shares, network printers, etc.
Any idea about how I can access the printers and print to them from linux?
Maybe someone can point me to a howto? |

Install CUPS and point it to the printer.
Done.
Alternatively, you could use Samba to make an NT domain connection, or even a combination of these. _________________ >>> emerge (3 of 7) mcse/70-293 to /

I guess I have to do the samba thing.. because I will get access denied unless I autenticate me some way. |

That depends, if you have set the sharing permissions on the NT printer to "everybody" then you should not need to authenticate.
But it will work with Samba. _________________ >>> emerge (3 of 7) mcse/70-293 to /
