i start up wmweather+ with the following command in my startup file, but
it does not give me a forecast (or a map, for that
matter, but the forecast is all i care about):
wmweather+ -station KTTN &

I use -s KBUR. I know the man page says you can use -s or -station, but try -s. instead. If that doesn't work, try "-s KBUR" to make sure you have a good station address. Also, there is no trailing & in my WMState file. HTH. |

Try wmWeather without the plus sign. I installed it several years ago and had similiar problems, but I don't remember exactly what I did. I do seem to remember that the app with the plus sign never worked. WmWeather displays temp, etc and a left click gives you all of the current conditions.
I just tried wmWeather+ and it seems to work fine. I am using WindowMaker though. That may be the difference. |

hmmm - it won't even let me start up without the "+" in there. i am getting this message:
wmweather+: download of /home/emoxley/.wmweather+/KBUR.new-mrf.txt failed: Fatal Error: connect operation failed (Connection timed out) |

wmWeather is a separate app from wmweather+, so you have to emerge it. |
