what do you mean? Darmstadt is a technical university in germany. and the distfiles are fine, I get a sustained rate of 250kbps to sweden.

The point of world wide mirrors is that you pick one close to you and use that. By close I mean not the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. There are 7 Canadian mirrors I suggest you use one (or all) of those.
