DNS Server recommendations

Hi Folks,

I'm trying to setup a DNS server on my gentoo server so that I can get name resolution for the linux boxes as well as the windows machines..

At the moment I'm trying to get djbdns up and running but whenever it starts it seems to start downloading information off of all the root-servers on the net..

Basically I'm looking for confirmation that I'm using a good DNS server as well as hopefully a point in the right direction for some semi-newbie-proof DNS tutorials.

Thanks for that.. After having a read it seems that Bind is a little overkill for what I need it (serving DNS to about 15 computers)..If I stick with DJBDNS could anyone recommend a good guide for it as the homepage is a bit short on the information.
