Hi, i am using lynx from the boot cd to try and gte help. Boy am I in a mess!!!! I cant do anything - something happened to grub and I cant boot my system - cant even get at my win2k drive - i think my MBR (I know) is screwed. Not even win2k FixMBR can fix this - wont work at all. Does anyone know how I can wipe my MBR using the gentoo install CD tools?? I am sure I can fix the damage once the MBR is formatted so to speak. I just have no idea how to do this. So bad!! Actually got a dead system here! thanx for any help |

You can boot off a windows floppy and use 'fdisk /mbr'.
