Hi
die Frage hab ich vor ein Paar Monaten gestellt. Gibt es spwas wie kde-bins? Ich will kde nicht selber kompilieren. Jemand hat mir damals gesagt, dass es sowas bei den Package CDs gibt und ich hab jetzt die 2004.2 Package CD runtergeladen und wenn ich folgendes mache:

sehe ich dass es einige Packeten gibt, die als binary gekennzeichnet sind, aber alle kde Packete sind zum Runterladen und selber kompilieren  Muss ich wirklich das ganze kompilieren?

Die GRP Pakete sind für die Erstinstallation gedacht und funktionieren mit dem Snapshot des Portagetrees auf der Live-CD. Jede andere Verwendung von GRP Paketen führt zu mehr oder weniger schwerwiegenden Problemen.
Warum willst du das KDE nicht einfach kompilieren, dauert auf meinem Duron 800 auch nur 24 Stunden.

Weil mit meinem P3 Rechner 3 Tagen kompilieren muss. Außerdem will ich nur k3b benutzen und will nicht deshalb ein optimales KDE haben, weil ich es sosnt nie benutze.
Jetzt hab ich etwas nicht verstanden (ich hab sonst immer alles von Hand kompiliert). Welche sind die GRP Packete und wo kriege ich sie her? Vom snapshot Verzeichnis bei den Mirrors?

kde braucht kein komplettes kde, sondern nur 3-4 teile davon und die sind in 3-4 stunden auch installiert  |

Ich benutze immer -a und das zeigt mir dassgleiche wie -p, nur die Frage "Do you want...." bekomme ich beim -p nicht. Komischerweise waren fast die selben packete da, also kde-libs, kde-base, usw. Dann installiere ich eben alles, es mach ja nix, wenn es länge dauert, ich benutze nicht jeden Tag k3b

aus diesem Grund hab ich das geschrieben, weil es keinen Sinn mehr macht drüber zu distkutieren.

@pablo_supertux: Wenn Du k3b mit USE=-kde installierst, dann braucht k3b nur die kdelibs. Allerdings ist dann k3bsetup nicht dabei, da dies kdebase benötigt.
