ipod mountable but not writable?!?

Hi Folks!

I'm working with my ipod since one month now and it worked well. But this morning I tried to mount it and I'm able to mount it but "read-only". I mounted it as normal user and as root, but in both cases, I'm not able to write on the ipod.

shouldn't your umask be set to umask=0777?
