1. Gibt es unter Linux ein ähnlichen Befehl der dem "net send" in Windows gleicht ??
2. wie kann ich in Xchat die Icons der Userliste entfernen, so dass @ und + angezeigt werden ??

smbclient gehört zu samba.
Das sind jetzt die Windows-kompatiblen Möglichkeiten, gibt auch anderes. |

Vielleicht helfen dir ja die Kommandos
'write' bzw. 'talk' weiter. Allerdings setzen sie
geöffnete Konsolen voraus, dafür funktionieren
sie ohne einen SMB-Client. |

ist vielleicht nicht ganz das was du suchst, wall ist allerdings auch was nettes.

Leute, hört endlich auf, so Zeug wie talk, wall und ftp (für nicht-anonyme datentransfers) zu empfehlen! Die Dinger stammen aus der Zeit der Mainframes und als noch nur technisch Versierte das Internet nutzten. Man will das heute nicht mehr benutzen. Abgesehen ist talk hier sowieso off-topic.
@gabelhonz:
1. Hör mal mit dem Geplenke auf und reparier deine "?"-Taste.
2. Nachrichten über NetBIOS sind vermutlich nicht zukunftsträchtig, da M$ in Zukunft den Nachrichtendienst standardmässig deaktiviert.
3. Falls ihr das für ein Firmen-LAN braucht, warum setzt ihr nicht nen eigenen Jabber-Server auf? Je nach Größe lohnt das vielleicht...
