Hi,
I have strange problem with my mailserver - QMAIL. Everything was ok, but now (maybe after some emerge) there is problem with authentication. I install mail server as its describet in qmail/howto here in gentoo documentation.
Now when I want to connect (i tried it from webmail imp/horde too) for example from Outlook Express, i get following error:

Configuration:
Account: garbi.retrieve.cz
Server: garbi.retrieve.cz
User name: semik@feel.cz
Protocol: IMAP
Port: 993
Secure(SSL): 1
Code: 800cccd1 |
Does know anybody where should be problem? In logs I didn't find any errors, but maybe I look bad...

| Go back and look at /var/log/portage and see if you can find a recently updated mail related package that could be causeing the problem. I'm a courier user but it might by that imap-ssl isn't started? |

In /var/log/emerge.log I found only this:
- beceause i tried to fix this problem, i get new version of courier-imap - 3.0.8 - before i had 3.0.7
I'm sure, that imap-ssl is started. I'm connected to the server on imap-ssl port, but when e-mail client send authentification info, i'll get error.
Now i tried to use POP3 ssl connection to the mail server, and i found after this in /var/log/messages
| Code: |
Connection, ip=[217.77.165.35]
LOGIN FAILED, ip=[217.77.165.35]
Unexpected SSL connection shutdown.

Any idea what's wrong? |

What are you authenticating qmail against? |
