2.6.9 and Nvidia

Hi guys

I'm pretty new to Gentoo but when I try and follow the Nvidia howto in the documentation section I get this:

FATAL: Error inserting nvidia (/lib/modules/2.6.9/kernel/drivers/video/nvidia.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

when I run modprobe nvidia.

Dmesg:

nvidia: module license 'NVIDIA' taints kernel.
nvidia: Unknown symbol __VMALLOC_RESERVE

Help!
