cyrus-sasl/courier-imap troubles

Hi,

Everywhere in the forum one can read that PAM is bad and that instead of PAM, Cyrus-SASL should be used.

So I changed my use flags accordingly "-pam sasl" and rebuilt my packages with the new protage feature --newuse.

Problem is that since rebuilding courier-imap with sasl support, I can no longer login. All I see in the logs is "login incorrect".

Can anyone please help me with this problem, cause at the moment the my imap accounts are disabled because I can't login. What do I have to change to make login possible?
