Well, when I play a video xine remains black and kaboodle close itself. No error messages. Absolutly not idea about where start searching the problem...
please, save me from Windows Media Player!

maybe re-emerge xine with the USE flag "avi" if it isn't already?
and while you're at it, "theora" couldn't hurt |

theora? what is theora?
Mplayer crash, xine (recompiled with AVI use flag) don't complaint about nothing, simple show a black screen... |
