Im setting up smssend, and i would like to be able to send sms's to my cell for free. My contract with Fido says i can recieve SMS messages for free, unless the sender uses the web interface, which charges 15 cents per message. I wrote a script that will check my email every 4 hours, and if i have messages it will send me the amount i have. So if im sending a SMS to my cell, using the web interface, 6 times per day, it will start to add up.
Is there any free service out there to send SMS messages? _________________ "The X server has to be the biggest program I've ever seen that doesn't do anything for you."

I setup smssend on my server to send me service status reports. I think it's only availble in the UK but I use http://www.118888.co.uk/sms.jsp and get 10 free messages a day. |

Not sure if you still need it, but check out http://www.teleflip.com. They have a free SMS service whereby you can send a text message to your phone by e-mailing yourphonenumber@teleflip.com. Very simple. |
