I emerged UT2004 and when i run it it says

I have a Radeon9600Pro and have it set up with ati-drivers and direct rendering is on. My kernel is 2.6.9-gentoo-r9. Thanks for the help |

You never posted an error...

Sorry I got distracted. Had to install Windows XP sadly.. gonna have to reinstall gentoo later on other harddrive. |

I did some extra research and i solved my problem. just did opengl-update ati and it runs but now i've got no audio. |

it turned out that my PCM volume was at a very low level. I have another question though. Is there anyway I can make UT run faster and with less stutterng? Thanks |

well thats the thing. I used to run faster on half the ram and a geforce2mx440 then my current rig so i'm thinking something is wrong with my setup. |

I agree with NewBlackDak
