So maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I don't think so. I have my gentoo installation fully set up and running, and I'm trying to ssh into another gentoo server on the same local network
I can access it fine from putty (from windows boxen), but when I try to log in as root from this PC, it only works if I have caps lock on. Caps lock isn't required (and indeed doesn't work) if I try to log on as any other user, but IS required if I try to su when logged in as that other user
Anyone got any ideas why? |

Are you ssh'ing as ROOT, all uppercase??
Would you post an actual transcript of what works and what
doesn't work, using the [code] feature of BBCode...
Please also show the error messages... _________________ Your thread resolved? Putting [SOLVED] in its title helps all Gentooers. (Button "edit" , first post)
