Hi guys,
I go to Carnegie Mellon, next to Pitt.
Someone mentioned they live near King of Prussia, everytime I look for sys admin jobs (in PA) that is one of the hotspots. I will have to check that area out some more (although I am a mechanical engineering student).

I just discovered this thread. I live in Delware County about 15 minutes outside Philadelphia
I would love to meet some other Gentoo people and mabey increas my knowledge if Linux.
I found this site. Meetup.com to to try to find other Linux people in my area but those folks are part of the Ubuntu/Red Hat crowd. I am looking to expand my knowledge in Gentoo/Sabayon Linux.
BTW meetup.com is a great way to meet new people. I meet some people who play Paintball from this site and it's a blast when we hang out!
Anway, If anyone is in the Delware County/Philadelphia area message me, Mabey we can create a study group?

Lol nice bump...
I will be going to college in PA. Right now, I'm looking at Mansfield University (in Mansfield.. an hour or so from Wilkes-Barre, I think) and Penn State right now. My girlfriend lives in Elizabethtown. Great place. I'm headed up there next weekend. I can't wait to be living somewhere in PA. _________________ My Blog |

I too am a student at Carnegie Mellon, although unlike an earlier poster there are things here that I like better than Texas where I am from. Texas does have good beef ribs and tex-mex food though...but the whole ridiculous high school football frenzy and plastic looking girl craze is much more prevalent in Texas than here....not to mention how much better public transportation is here. |

texas has public transportation! where?! haha, I know what you mean though.
I don't live in PA, but I thought starting a new thread asking if there are any gentooers in Texas would be a waste.
I live in Dallas right now, but I have a long history in Houston, which is still one of my favorite cities (best in Texas <-- I am sure there are those who would fight me for that comment). |

On meetup.com I found a few Ubuntu users but it's hard finding Gentoo or Sabayon users in Delware county.
I'm looking to try to get some fellow noobs in my area who want to get togetother to learn off eachother and impove our understanding of Gentoo.
