Hiho,
möchte zuerst mal anmerken das ich sehr neu in Linux bin,
also seit ein paar Tagen gentoo auf dem Laptop hab und davor (ausser ein paar mal sehr oberflächlich im bisherigen Studium im Fach Betriebssysteme) noch nie mit Linux gearbeitet hab.
Also bitte ein dementsprechendes Niveau vorraussetzen (aber nich in baby sprache schreiben  ) ^^.
So genug von meiner Lebensgeschichte, nun zu meinem Problem;
also:
hab mir gestern Azureus (2.2.0.0) ge'emerged', allerdings stürzt es mir sobald ich ein torrent geladen hab bereits kurz nach dem start ab
mit der meldung:

da ich mir dachte das ich gnome_vfs nicht haben könnte hab ich mal mit emerge nachgeschaut allerdings:

nunja, bin jetzt relativ ratlos und da ich nach einer rudimentären suche nach ein paar wichtigen schlüsselwörtern hier im forum und google nix gefunden hab ist jetz eben dieser Thread da ^^. Vielleicht hatte ja jemand von euch den Fehler schonmal und kann mir helfen.

bei mir hatte azureus probleme mit der blackdown-jdk.
installier mal die von IBM oder die original sun-jdk, damit gibts bei mir keine probleme, |

hab jetz mal das ibm jre installiert,
ergebnis:

scheint also nich am jre zu liegen :/

aber es scheint doch ein von java unabhängiges problem zu sein oder täusch ich mich da ?

Hi guys,
Ich spreche nicht Deutsches (at least that's how google tells me to say it  ), but this topic appears to have some bearing on the one here -

As far as I can tell, you're saying that there are problems with the blackdown-jdk and that emerging the sun-jdk instead will resolve our problems. If you spreche ze english, could someone please do us a little translation work and post to the above topic?

All good, I've removed blackdown and gone with the sun implementation, all is working well.

| Instead of substituting the Java package, try to unmerge azureus and emerge azureus-bin. It takes way less time and is prone to less trouble. |
