i changed the color on the gnome background, then i put up a wallpaper, but while im loading gnome, neither the color nor the wallpaper is seen (because nautilus is not yet loaded), but how do i change the color of the background when gnome is loading?

i'm not sure, but you could try something like hsetroot or feh to set the X's root bitmap. That would show up before nautilus starts up.

i've never used hsetroot.. should be quite easy. probably you just name the file and then which way you want it (tiled, scaled, etc).

With feh you can open the file and then right-clicking on it brings a menu where you can select to put it as background.

And as always with Linux, just install the package and read the manual pages. Those will tell you everything you need to know and more 8)

The command you need is "xrootset"

but since you seem to be using GNOME

startup "gdmsetup" as root
and under "standard greeter" is a BG colour option. Although the nice graphical loader is nice, it reverts to the standard once logon occurs.

otherwise, edit /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf (which gdmsetup does) and find the relevant point
