ho la necessità di aver installato installati contemporaneamenti.
pgadmin3-1.0.2
e
pgadmin3-1.2.0
ho installato pgadmin3-1.2.0 che è fuori dall'albero di portage
per reinstallare pgadmin3-1.0.2 mantenendo l'altro come faccio?
variabili di slot?
se sì, come funzionano?

| Copi l'ebuild che ti interessa (per esempio quello della 1.0.2) nella tua PORTDIR_OVERLAY e cambi la var SLOT al suo interno da 0 a 1 |

facendo così mi ha sovrasscritto la versione 1.2.0
mm
provo a riemergere la 1.2 mettendo anche questa con slot = 1

dodir /usr/share/pgadmin3
in
dodir /usr/share/pgadmin3_1.2.0
spero di sapere quello che sto facendo...  |

se ne frega sempre, disisinstalla sempre la versione precedente, è come se non prendesse l'impostazione slot.

beh, allora non sono un cazzone. l'ho fatto eccome, altrimenti come facevo ad installare le due versioni fuori dall'albero?!

Forse il tuo problema è dato dal fatto che uno dei due mantiene lo slot a 0. prova a settare valori diversi per tutti e due... |

un esempio buono mi sembrano gli ebuild del kernel...

Prova a mettere in una SLOT="1.0" e nell'altra SLOT="1.2" (almeno così sono diversi). Devi controllare che vengano installati però in directory differenti  |
