Try reemerging it though. You might have had an issue with incompatible versions of that and wxGTK, or might need to upgrade because of Python being upgraded (I think). |

It is the gtk upgrade that is causing the problems (had the same problem myself)
Re-emerge wxGTK and it should work again.

In my case, at least, this problem happened immediately after I ran emerge -u world, which included an upgrade of gtk+ (to 2.6.2) and pango. |

Hi there,
you can also try out "Yet another bittorrent client". It's not in portage yet, but it's easy to install because there is not even a compiliation required because it's programmed in python. Simply download, unpack it and run
Works great for me. _________________ e17 documentation | Be free and use Jabber as your IM! | Combine IRC and IM |

The GTK+ 2.6 update did break wxGTK somehow, i noticed it on 3 of my own boxes , the fix was as said here the re-merge of wxGTK.
Note: if your wxGTK was built with unicode as a useflag you'll have to re-merge wxpython if wxpython was'nt built with the unicode flag aswell. _________________ Gentoo 2006.0 + NPTL + 2.6.15-r1-sources + gcc 3.4.4 100% built. glibc 2.3.5. |
