I'm using an HP ZE4115 laptop with an O2 Micro OZ6912 PCMCIA controller and I've got a Linksys WPC11 v3 802.11b card that seems to work fine. I've got X 4.2.1-r2 installed, and that also works fine, but only when I don't have a PC-card inserted. If I have a card in and try to start X:
Code: |
(EE) xf86OpenSerial: Cannot open device /dev/mouse
Device or resource busy.
(EE) Mouse1: cannot open input device
(EE) PreInit failed for input device "Mouse1"
|
If X is *already* running when I insert a card, the PC card won't start working at all. ... Ok, I just checked /proc/interrupts and it seems that the orinoco_cs module (the driver for my 802.11b card) takes IRQ 12 (usually reserved for PS/2 mice) when it's running. That won't do. I kinda need a pointer in X.
What can I do, short of using an external USB mouse?
