Hi all,
Deliberately I admit being a kernel newbie, but knowing you out there aren't I'm asking for some guidance.
Trying to build the 2.6.9 kernel with no starnge config I get:
...
init/built-in.o(.text+0x1300):init/do_mounts.c:192: relocation truncated to fit: BRADDR .init.text
init/built-in.o(.text+0x1530): In function `do_mount_root':
init/do_mounts.c:262: additional relocation overflows omitted from the output
make: *** [.tmp_vmlinux1] Error 1
BTW how about the udev/dev issue on alphas? Should you include dev or not? I tried both with and without /dev but ended up with the same problem.
And where do I find SRM in 2.6?
All this happens on a Rawhide (AlphaServer 1200 EV56 400MHz)
Any one managaed to fail in such a way? |
