I am not sure you can do this because (I think) the icons are displayed as each component of the desktop loads (and the icons belong to those apps), though I would be interested in this were not the case. You can, as you probably know, easily change the splash image.

One more thing. You could install a new icon theme, though I don't think that is your intent. |

Yeah, I figured it was something like that, using the programs icons itself. I was thinking you could just replace that icon with a custom icon or something. I can't find where those icons are though. They're not in /usr/share/pixmaps from what I've seen, and I've looked through all of the icons to try to match them with what comes up on the splash. And yeah, I know how to change the splash, which is why I wanted to change the icons. They look bad with custom splashes. Thanks for your reply. |
