Does he use Nitro-sources? Nitro-sources and IPW2200 doesn't work anymore

As in my thread, I have reverted back to 2.6.11-rc4love1 and the wireless works fine. It just so happens that rc4love1 does not have the swspd2 patch. Yes, I tried the Nitro sources before and wireless did not work. Could it be that the fact that swspd2 is patched into the kernel is causing the problem even though it is not actually compiled into the kernel? I don't know, but obviously there is a patch that my wireless (ipw2200) does not like.

I`m using genetic nicksched with deadline , for me it`s best combination for r4 at now so I`m using it.

I`ve tested alot genetic anticipatory on my box ( not any oops ) , but I prefer deadline better.
Deadline can provide me best speed with copying many of small files . Anticipatory better linear transfer but this is less important for me. Nicksched is playing best for me with r4 at the moment .

BTW This is something strange, that came up with 2.6.11 in my system-log:

This is not causing any problems. It was not there with 2.6.10, and I first discovered that output with one of the 2.6.11-rc versions of nitro-sources.

Any idea, what this could be?

Thanks for your help. My ipw2200 wireless works now with the 2.6.11-love1 kernel w/ swsusp2 compiled into the kernel. That did the trick.

Congrats on this kernel! This is the most responsive desktop kernel I have ever used. It smokes your other love kernels, and even nitro.

I am using all genetic options as default and everything loads faster. It is definately not placebo effect. Gnome loaded in about 3 seconds.

Now I am off to put this kernel to a real test, my java programming that takes up 700MB of cache and ram.

edit: even my internet browsing is faster! no joke. But, my java IDE did take longer to load than before. about 6 seconds longer. but now that it is up and running, it's definately faster in execution. I guess i'll have some tradeoff's with this scheduler.

EDIT again!: OMG, gimp loaded in less than one second from a cold boot! I didn't even see the loading screen (even though it is enabled). My older love/nitro sources took at least 3 seconds. Amazing. I will be keeping this kernel for a while.

Did anyone else notice skipping sound with this kernel?

I am currently using genetic nicksched with cfq.

I've been using ck-sources and/or nitro for a while now, but remeber that this did not happen with earlier love-sources for me.

BTW: Is it possible to look into the results of the genetic

to be honest, i had a hardlock while gaming when I was on Deadline. Since I've switched to Genetic AS its working quite nice. To each, his own I guess :lol:

(I don`t have x86_64 for testing but I think we can rem call of mach_black* from direct.c)
