Just posted (on a duplicate thread, oops) that you can use the 4.2.1 ebuild (at least I managed to), directions are here. _________________ "1830: Press Return."
Vista will solve all your problems. People keep telling me so it must be true. |

I was surprised, that its now prelinkable, so I tried ....... but its not so easy in my mind.
Code: | # prelink -qavmR
prelink: /usr/lib/transgaming_cedega/winex/bin/wine: Could not find one of the dependencies
prelink: /usr/lib/transgaming_cedega/winex/bin/wineserver: Could not find one of the dependencies

Prelinking /usr/lib/transgaming_cedega/winex/bin/fnt2bdf
Prelinking /usr/lib/transgaming_cedega/winex/bin/wineclipsrv
prelink: /usr/lib/transgaming_cedega/winex/bin/wineclipsrv: Cannot prelink against non-PIC shared library /usr/lib/opengl/nvidia/lib/libGL.so.1.0.6629
Prelinking /usr/lib/transgaming_cedega/winex/bin/winedump
Prelinking /usr/lib/transgaming_cedega/winex/bin/pthreads_stack_test |
Code: | $ ldd /usr/lib/transgaming_cedega/winex/bin/wine

I unmerged all my old Transgaming stuff and dumped all my old configs. Afterward, I found that when I ran emerge --search, the latest versions of Point2Play and Cedega were listed.
I ran emerge point2play, it told me which file it wanted from the transgaming site, and where to put it. I did so, emerged point2play and installed Cedega from inside Point2Play.
I'm currently running happily, knowing I have a nice, clean Cedega install. It took a little extra time, but I think it was worth it. |
