My konqueror still shows an old icon in the top right corner (the one which is animated while konq is loading something) from an old KDE version. My current KDE version is 3.3.2.

I've removed all konqueror related rc files from .kde/share/config and all konqueror related folders from .kde/share/apps. Still the konqueror displays the old icon.

Does someone know how to get rid of it? I want the new sexy icon...

Thanks!

I haven't found such a setting in konqueror or kcontrol. I think it's a hidden setting somewhere in my personal .kde folder...

Seems that you have more than one KDE version installed in parallel. I'd get rid of the old kde 3.2 first (if you don't use it of course).

AFAIK, there is no setting that configures konqueror animated logo. You can check the config of course (the most relevant places would be ~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/, ~/.kde/share/config/konquerorrc and the same files/places in /usr/kde/3.3/share).

I'm relatively sure that the animated logo is influenced by the icon set. If you're using a set that you used in previous versions, you won't see a difference.

For example, when I use the Reinhardt icon theme, the throbber is different than when I use Nuvola, and so on. I suppose the place to look would be your installed icon sets.

Nope, only KDE 3.3.2 is installed:

Code:
# qpkg -I -i | grep kde-base
kde-base/kdeutils-3.3.2 *
kde-base/kdebase-3.3.2-r2 *
kde-base/kdebase-pam-4 *
kde-base/kde-3.3.2 *
kde-base/arts-1.3.2-r1 *
kde-base/kdeadmin-3.3.2 *
kde-base/kdetoys-3.3.2 *
kde-base/kdegames-3.3.2 *
kde-base/kdemultimedia-3.3.2 *
kde-base/kdeartwork-3.3.2 *
kde-base/kdeaccessibility-3.3.2 *
kde-base/kdewebdev-3.3.2 *
kde-base/kdeaddons-3.3.2 *
kde-base/kdepim-3.3.2 *
kde-base/kdenetwork-3.3.2 *
kde-base/kdegraphics-3.3.2-r2 *
kde-base/kdelibs-3.3.2-r5 *
kde-base/kde-i18n-3.3.2 *
kde-base/kde-env-3-r3 *
kde-base/kdeedu-3.3.2-r1 *
kde-base/kdesdk-3.3.2 *

If I create a new dummy user the users icon is the new one.

I've deleted those files/folders.

The problem was that I was using an old Crystal icon theme instead of the new one which comes with KDE.
Ooops
